About me

I’ve been with Carers Trust South East Wales since July 2015, having previously worked in mental health, housing and local government. I have seen many changes during the four years I’ve been here and I’m very proud of the organisation we have become. I firmly believe I have the best people working alongside me that really make a difference to unpaid carers every day.

I truly believe that Carers Trust South East Wales is unique. As a charity, we focus on people and not conditions. We see every carer as an individual and we don't put people into boxes.

Having been a young carer myself I am passionate about carers having the right information and support. If we can help carers have a life alongside their caring role, then we have succeeded.

What do you enjoy doing away from work?

I am a keen runner and I am involved in the running of my local running club. I also volunteer regularly at my local parkrun. I am also a trustee of a number of charities, both locally and nationally, and I try to give my time to things that matter to me.

Favourite food?

I am also a massive foodie, and love to cook (and eat!) all sorts of food. I hate recipes, and love to experiment to see what I can make. I’ll be on MasterChef one day!

This is a hard one, but I have to say pizza. Not just any pizza, it has to be totally handmade from scratch and cooked in my wood fired pizza oven. Nothing else will do!
