We need your help to raise £10,000 for a very special group of young carers from Monmouthshire to go on the holiday of a lifetime.

Connor, Robert, Codie, Oisin, Hannah and Jay are all part of the Carers Trust South East Wales Young Carers Forum, a group of young carers living in Monmouthshire who help shape, influence and feedback on services for young carers in Wales. The young carers’ service has been running in Monmouthshire for 17 years and supports young people aged 8-18 with a caring responsibility for someone – this could be a family member or friend who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol.

The group of teenagers – who all have significant caring responsibilities at home – are taking part in a range of fundraising activities this year in an effort to raise enough money for a group trip abroad.

The group will be at the Usk Show on Saturday 14 September, hosting a stall with games including name the teddy bear and guess the key to the safe, as well as offering glitter face painting! If you are visiting the Usk Show, make sure you drop by and say hello!

Please help the young carers achieve their aim - you can make a donation at: https://localgiving.org/charity/carerstrustsew/project/youngcarersrespite/
