Our day centre in Chepstow provides vital support for people with care needs, offering much needed respite for their carers.

The Chepstow day centre has been running at Chepstow Community Hospital since the hospital opened in 2000.

The day centre offers a range of sensory and structured activities to give the person attending time to be themselves. Regular activities include singing and live music, visits from Rocky the therapy dog and games and quizzes. Freshly cooked lunches, coffee, tea and snacks are available. The venue is welcoming, engaging and friendly.

The day centre gives carers the chance to take a break from their caring role and catch up on things like shopping, appointments, meeting with friends, or simply catching up on some sleep. Family members also get the chance to stay in work, rather than having to give up their job to care for a loved one, safe in the knowledge their family member is in a nice environment.
