Gwent Carers Hub

The place for carers in Gwent

The Gwent Carers Hub in Torfaen

The Gwent Carers Hub in Torfaen is located in Pontypool town centre and is open Monday – Friday from 10am to 3pm.

The hub offers a free drop-in service for carers to get advice and information on everything from benefits to legal issues. A wide-range of activities run weekly – from social groups to film clubs and mindfulness workshops. The hub provides a comfortable, safe space for carers to take a break from their caring role and also offers local organisations, groups and businesses affordable meeting room facilities for hire.

The hub has been an integral service for carers in Torfaen since it first opened as the Torfaen Carers Centre in 2005. In 2017 the centre merged with Carers Trust South East Wales – the leading provider of practical support for carers and those with care needs living in South East Wales.
